Travis Booth, Principal Christopher Herzfeld, Coach Scott Finn and Noah North, on the ground Jeremy Shutts, Nate Madigan and Dante Madrigal

The Laguna Beach High School Surf Team gave it their all today against undefeated Dana Hills at Salt Creek. Laguna was out in front early with several heats going our way. But as things continued on the lead slipped away despite the last heat of the day seeing Trey Lockhart come up big with a win in Boys shortboard. The day kicked off with Principal Christopher Herzfeld on hand to see Sam Nelsen finding some nice rides and coming away with a 2nd, followed closely by Noah North and Travis Booth finishing 3rd and 4th. The Girls shortboard were next and did well with Kalohe Danbara Kayla Coscino and Claire Kelly taking 2nd, 3rd and 4threspectively. Meanwhile  Kayla also took the big Longboard win followed closely by Grace Wellsfry in 2nd. Another double duty standout was Dante Madrigal who was outstanding with another 1st in Longboard and 2nd in Shortboard. Other strong finishers for the day were Kiko Nelsen, in Boys Shortboard, Todd Vought and Jake Houglum in Bodyboard and Jameson Roller in Longboard with 3rds, and 4ths.
A big thank you goes out to our Principal and all the parents and friends who showed up to support our Laguna kids.
