LBHS SURF TAKES BIG WIN OVER ALISO NIGUEL

Tess Booth cuts back

The Laguna Beach High School Surf Team came out very strong against Aliso Niguel in a non-league scrimmage to take the overall Win. The event was held at Thalia last week. The Laguna surfers led the way in several of the divisions taking the top spots in nearly every heat. The conditions were pretty decent with a little wind swell peak coming through. The Laguna Surfers made the most of their home break and put in some memorable performances.

In Mens shortboard both Kiko and Sam Nelsen did some very impressive surfing to win their heats along with Christian Schenk and Luke Hagopian, while Tai Diggens, Joseph Schenk, and Tyson Lockhart also did great to finish in 2nd. They were followed by Gavin Campbell, Aiden Severson and Dane Cameron who all did well to finish in 3rd.

Our Women surfers continued their domination securing the top 3 spots in Shorboard. Tess Booth came in with the big Win, Lilie Kulber was ripping in 2ndand Kolohe Danbara was also very strong in 3rd. Tess Booth was just as impressive in Longboard also taking a win, while freshman Scout Mitchel and Mia Moore jumped into help the team out looking super stylish in their debut finishing 3rdand 4th.

Our Mens Longboard also did well and Zac Henderson led the way in 3rd while Tate Warner and Cooper Laws also gave it their all.

A big thank you to the families, friends and team mates who showed up to support the Team and Ellen Nelsen for the nice action shots in between her work schedule!
