NSSA National High School Surfing Championships Finals Tomorrow with Booth, Coscino and Roller Representing LBHS Surf

We wanted to let you all know that we have had a great showing so far in the NSSA National High School Surfing Championship at Salt Creek . Today was a long (13hr) but hugely successful day and as a team we are currently sitting in 3rdchallenging San Clemente and Huntington Beach for a top 3 spot with just the Finals left. This is a prestigious event with High School Teams coming from as far as Hawaii and the East Coast, so to have Laguna Beach in the top 3 for the second year in a row is awesome. We are really excited to have surfers make each of the division Finals and invite everyone available to come down and cheer on our Team Finalists.

Starting tomorrow at 4:30pm will be the Longboard Final with Jameson Roller who put together a couple of solid heats today. Following at 4:50pm will Be Kayla Coscino who has a great chance of taking out The Womens Final and securing a National High School title. Closing out the evening for Laguna at 5:10pm in The Mens Shortboard Final will be Travis Booth who put together several outstanding performances, which allowed him by pass the rep to and go straight to his first National Final.

Props go out to the whole team for surfing really well throughout the day. Scoring big points for the team along with the Finalists were seniors Jake Levine and Jeremy Shutts, making their last appearance for the team as well as Trey Lockhart, Sam and Kiko Nelsen and Kalohe Danbara.

Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers out there.
